The funhouse tour... a moment in time that will live with me forever

June 15th, July 27th and August 25th 2009 - all these dates will be forever stuck in my mind.
The first date was the only date we had planned to go see Pink perform, We took my partner's 2 nieces and thought it best to get seated tickets. It was great seeing as tho one of the nieces was 6 and being in the standing would have been too much! The girls had a ball and although we were far away we still got into the show. The end of the show left us hanging for more and Jen and I made the pact that should we be able to afford it we would totally go again and get standing tickets this time round. We were half way to the second show on the 20th July to find out that Ms Pink was struck down with illness and couldn't perform that night! Most people were on here and were mean and not understanding at all. It was a blessing for us because Jen's car decided to eat its turbo and we wouldn't have made it to the show!
So, the next week, we had some sushi, hopped in the car and got to the entertainment centre hell early. We walked around for a bit, and decided that we'd throw a tennis ball around on a grassy patch before we went in to get as close to the front as possible. Turns out we were outside the gate where the band and Pink herself drove into the centre. (And apparently she recalls us throwing the ball yay!). So after throwing the ball around for 2 and a half hours, getting the security dudes involved, we headed into the gates to get our spots in the line. We managed to get 2nd from the front to the stage, which was awesome because I had put together a little present package for Pink. It consisted of a book on Australianisms and their meanings, a letter from me, an invite to the restaurant and a tshirt from the restaurant. There was a couple of ladies who were heavily intoxicated and were trying to manipulate their way to the front - ladies (I loosely use the term ladies) if you ever read this, feeling up young girls IS WRONG! You should have been arrested for what you low lifes did! Anyway, super Jen aka crowd security, put them in their place and also the dude who decided to try and steal peoples places whilst they were getting drinks as instructed by security!
Evermore didn't play that night because they had a previous engagement so the dj played. he played ghostbusters .... and it dawned on me that I was wearing my ghostbusters tshirt! haha as flattered as I was, I was so embarrassed! Me and my stupid shyness!
Then the show started and Pink bounced up through the stage and looked directly at Jen and I. She had a look on her face that was a little confusion, realisation and a smirk - I am wondering if she recognised us from out the front earlier... not sure! Anyway, she kinda missed her cue to start singing. If that was our fault I apologise!! Anyway, the show from a standing next to the stage point of view is AMAZING! So every time Ms Pink came over our way, I held up the present for her to take, but she didn't see it. So when she came up to the front of the stage for her accoustic set, Jen and the people around us started calling out to Pink to 'come over here' she looked over our way and said 'what? fix my hair??' classic, it cracked me up. She spotted the present I was holding up and came over. The nice ladies in front moved out of the way so I could hand Pink the present myself. I stumbled over one of their feet and went bright red as I handed her the present! Seriously, could I be any clutzier? It sucked too cos I was gonna ask her if I could keep her when I gave her the gift, but after my clutzy moment, I lost all composure and could only manage a smile! That made my night and my year! So exciting! I just watched in amazement how she went about the show, and making contact with the fans. Bumped into some ppl who regular the forum. Such a small world! Anyway, after the show, Jen and I hung out where the band leaves, we just missed Pink, but heard she was reading something as she left, I wonder if it was my letter? Anyway, her band came out after and they recognised us and pointed and waved! so chuffed!
Then we went to the August 25th show, ended up catching up with a good friend of ours who came along at the last minute! We played sport in the same spot - throwing an american football about - but we didn't stay there until pink arrived. I am kicking myself over it, because I had mentioned in a letter to Pink that she would know we were there because we would be playing sport. We planned on giving Pink an AFL football but the 'Nazi let the power get to her pea sized brain wench' security chick confiscated the ball. Pink better have been given that ball! grrrrrrr at the stupid woman... still pissed about that. She had no manners, no right and no people skills!
Anyway, we got almost the exact same spot inside as the last time. Pink had an absolute ball, she'd just been given a bathroom decked out in her honour and the crowd were on fire! She made so much eye contact with us, it made me wonder if she was once again trying to figure out how she knew us! I hope so, we're kinda cool ppl - ok I am cool by association lol

I would like to think Pink read my letters, seeing as tho the next day she made herself a pizza, she went to an AFL match wearing red n blue and she mentioned cooking with ppls grandmas! All of course may be a coincidence, but like Ellen says you have to put things out there into the universe to help them come true. So here's hoping they did in a small shape or form have an impact on Pink. I don't think Pink will ever understand the impact she has had on me but I hope that one day she will realise that she's has made a difference in this world and it's a lot more than any of us can ever say!
Thank you Alecia 'Pink' Moore you are an amazing person and performer.
