I really like Pink and her music because she stands up for what she believes in and couldn't care less about what others think. Her song Dear Mr. President really hit home with me because it really outlined todays society and how not everything is the way it seems. There ARE people living on the streets and sleeping on cardboard boxes and the "Higher Up's" aren't doing anything about it. She proves her point in every song she writes! Pink: Your a perfect role model for women today and if everyone was like you, there wouldn't be people sleeping on the streets, fighting in wars, putting women down ect. Thank you for keeping it real and continue what your doing. Your GREAT! Hopefully you will make it to Newfoundland some day and I can actually see one of your exciting concerts in person!

Hi! pink I feel that your music has inspired me to grow above my family and show them that i will be who and what i want to be! I really enjoy your music and believe no one would do a better job then you when it comes to the expression and the emotion that is needed to sing those songs! I must say i don't have any favorites, I like all of your songs ! There is one thing i am very impressed with and that is how you are able to tell your listeners that it is not a bad thing if you are different! Thanks for your music and being your self! It is good to see in life.

this song is great, but there's summat i don't get about the song, is she singing (preching) to the president or to god, can some one answer my question.

I LOVE this song. My husband died 3½ months ago...I feel like I could have written it myself. The lyrics are exactly what I feel inside and Pink sings it with so much emotion. I listen to it all the time.

i feel just the same way.

As a mother of a daughter and soldier in the Iraq war I have to agree with moxyflowe on this one. Although pink did not address the issues of war she addressed just about every issue that people turn a blind eye to ( especially our government). I am an older fan of Pinks but find her work inspiring. She addresses very controversal issues, but you can feel the feelings in her words as they flow out of her music. They are not "Just Words" There are many of Pinks songs that I can relate to, and it was very hard to pick just one to write about. Pink All I can say now is there were times when your words literally saved my life! Thank you......I am looking forward to hearing lots more from you........

I have to say, this song is the one I identified with the most.
Not particularly at 13, but not too long after that I had alot of trouble coming to terms with my sexuality, and I identify with this song because there is so much I would say to my younger self.
It just made me think alot about what I would say to my younger self, if given the opportunity.

Plus, it has good tempo for a waltz XD

i think it is a good song and it is true the president would cear if his kid was gay i am gay but do you see me giving a s*** and he thinks that the world is all good and nothing is rong i feel sorry for him because he thinks the world is a good place
