Could Some Of The Pink Concerts Be Canceled Because Of The Swine Flu

I live in Australia. I have Purchased 4 Tickets to the Pink Concert in Melbourne on June 21 2009. I heard that many Major Public events have been canceled thoughout Melbourne due to the Swine Flu Pandemic. And i was just wanting to know if any of the Concerts been Canceled?

Honestly, it's a media beat up. A lot of people might have caught it, but are they getting really sick from it? No. No one in Aus has died, and if the reports are right, no one even been hospitalised. Anyone who has caught it is being given some drugs and sent home to recuperate. Like any cold or flu. When they start driving carts thru the streets calling "Bring out your dead", I'll start to worry. Until then LIVE LIFE. You can't live worrying about what might happen, that's not living. Get out there and enjoy everything that comes your way.

yar

they were making way too much of a big thing out of flu FGS

the media love to hype things up

i remember the same thing with saars and bird flu

Nostalgia is only made worse over time, if only we could go back to a time when we werent nostalgic.

Couldn't agree more.

Talk about blowing things out of proportion.

Finally there is someone who sees through all the media s***.

I was begining to think I was the only one.

We're all P!nk on the inside

IT'S JUST THE F#%*ING FLU PEOPLE. We have the flu every year and people get sick and some die. It's an annual event and this year it's just started a month or two earlier. The only place people have died is Mexico and one or two in the US. Everyone is panicking over what so far, has been a little more than nothing. The drug companies must be laughing all the way to the bank, they're the only ones making profits during the economic downturn. Call me a cynic, or a conspiracy theory loony, but really, who profits out of a pandemic panic? If you get sick, by all means stay home and don't spread the illness, but don't stop living your life because the media is making the flu the headline story on the news. Alcohol destroys more lives than the flu, and there's no freaking way I'm giving that up either!!

the answer to your question is: NOP!!!
jenna told me that pink wont cancel any concerts...
all concerts are still going ahead!!!
if you dont know who jenna is pls find out!!!

Yes there's always a possibility, however by my knowledge there has not been any new cases of swine flu occur. So I wouldnt panic my advise is to relax and enjoy the concert. Plus I wouldnt think pink would cancell her tour. Laughing out loud

If you've got so much swine influenza in Australia, I'd say - simply as a health preserving precaution, of course - that Pink ought to cancel the rest of her Australian tour. There's really no need to gamble by creating so many large crowds and thereby increase the risk of spreading the flu ("...will somebody PLEASE think of the children!", as reverend Lovejoy's wife sez in The Simpsons). Barf!

Nay, I say. LEAVE Australia and SKIP Northern America immediately, since that region is even more severely struck by the flu... Again: simply as a health preserving precaution, of course. To compensate for the economic losses from refunding hundreds of thousands of concert tickets, Pink should simply arrange more concerts in Europe (which is 'off the hook'), so to speak.
Also, please consider touring Africa and Asia, which also seem to be quite safe according to this Swine flu dashboard Eye-wink

If people in the Americas and (especially) Australia want to hear Pink, the can still buy the CDs, DVDs and watch amateur clips on YouTube. It's much safer. Any responsible citizen would not consider endangering public health safety simply to satisfy selfish needs such as going to a rock concert - maybe even several times. Evil

So for your own, your children's, your pet animals, your parents and all of your other fellow citizens' safety: Please stay at home. Shut all doors and windows. Buy some canned food and wait a few months until things look safer outside.
Then after a period you can all come out of your homes again and look at yourself with pride and say "I've contributed into making both my country and the world a safer place. I sacrificed my selfish needs in exchange for altruistic care, and I'm damn proud of it!" Laughing out loud
