I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... as soon as i heard Pink's song 'Stupid Girls' i fell i love with her music. The reason i fell in love with her music was because in that song she was singing everything i had been thinking about the likes of 'Stupid girls' for a long time and it was fantastic to finally know that that's how alot of other people felt. After hearing 'Stupid Girls' i went out and brought her album 'I'm Not Dead' as soon as it came out and i had never listen to a better album in my life (and ok i am only in my teens but still 'I'm Not Dead' will take some beating), then i went and brought all 3 of her previous albums and loved them too. The thing i really loved about the albums was how they were all different and how each song i loved for different reasons such as 'Dear Mr President' on 'I'm Not Dead', the first time i heard that song i had tears in my eyes because it was such a beautiful song and so true and thats the thing about Pink's music, it can have you up jumping around to songs such as 'Get the Party Started' and 'Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)' one minute and then deep in thought about the problems in this world with fantastic songs such as 'Dear Mr President' and 'My Vietnam'.
However its not just Pink's albums that are fantastic she is absolutely brilliant live and without doubt the best act i have seen live.(I have both her tour DVD's) I had the amazing oppertunity of seeing her live at the Birmingham NEC in November 2006 and although i didn't have great seats it was fantastic and i shell definitely be going to see her another couple of times on her next tour.
And finally it is also Pink's personality i love, sadly i haven't had the oppertunity to meet her in person but she seems like such a lovely person and great fun to be around and i also love all the work she does for animal charities as i myself love animals. And so that is why i love Pink and if you are wondering why it took me till her album I'm Not Dead to realise how great Pink is then the answer is i really don't know but i just put it down to being young and having incredibly bad taste in music, however i have seen the error of my ways and now Pink is without doubt my favourite artist and i can't wait for her new single and album to be released.
I also just wanted to say thank you Pink for the fantastic songs you have created and keep on creating, almost everyone can relate to at least one of your songs and your music really helps people though tough times (i know it helped me) but not only for that but for everything else you do in life and the way you handle things, you have a big influence in my life as i am sure you do in many peoples, love ya and can't wait to see you on tour again some time soon.
