Reviews for this Album
Why?
One of the best songs I ever heard is a B-side on a second single, and not even on the album. ("When We Trough We Trough"). Meanwhile "So What" is NO. 1 everywhere, gets awards at MTV And Tops the Billboard. I thought "So What" was funny the first time I heard it, and even more funny the second time curse I watch the video, but when I heard it about 10 times it was getting boring, like a good joke that gets bad when you have to listen to it over and over again!
I get that you have to have a catchy song to get any attention, and drag focus to the rest of the songs that might need a little more time to sink in. Its just a bit annoying, thats all.
As always I change my mind about witch songs are the best on the album every time I listen to it, but after half a year I have sorted out some favorites.
"Sober" is the only one I like as much now as the first time I heard it. 4/5
"Ave Maria" I really didn't like at first but now its gets a 4/5.
"One Foot Wrong" keeps getting better every time I listen to it and after 5 month its still gets better and better. I gave it a 3 the first time I heard it and now its up to a 5/5.
"Funhouse"/"Bad Influence"/C"rystalball"/"Mean" where all favorites from the start and they still gets a 5/5, even if they lost some attraction after frequent listening.
"Please don't leave me" stepped up from a 3 to a 4 becurse the video..
( I know, it shouldn't but I'm only human) 4/5
Anyway,
I Listen to Funhouse with earplugs when I'm out walking my dog, and after a couple of times I begin to notice a very strange behaviour from her. She is jumping around and very happy when I play Bad influence and Funhouse, When I play Sober, Crystalball and Mean she is very silent with head and tail down, walking very close to me.
I had her for five years, always listen to music when we out walking, and I never seen this behavior before. If I play the songs for her there are no change in her behavior so it has to be my emotional state she responds to. Pretty amazing.
