This is the album that convinced me, that Pink indeed was not only an extraordinary artist, but also an artist capable and willing to do anything she felt for. The track that confirms this belief above anything else is the passionate Joplin homage "Unwind". It could actually sound like a kitschy-passionate tune from a pop musical (if it hadn't been for that sublime rocky-brassy orchestration), not something you'd expect from any modern day artist... and herein lies, of course, the masterstroke IMHO. "Trouble" is another example of the very same naked power (actually I don't get why someone can praise that one and dismiss "Unwind"?)

Other tracks on the album simply reeks atmosphere (and probably gives any listener an appetite for the urban rock genre), "Humble Neighborhoods" and "Tonight's the Night" are examples, while "Feel Good Time" is simply cool. The horny "Oh My God" is another one (and a perfect femininised counterpart to Pink's sweaty collaborations with Naughty by Nature & Cuban Link).

Also, I can't stop lovin' Pink's passionate interpretations of classic melodic rock music. "Walk Away", "Save My Life" and above all the album gem "Waiting For Love". I can't wait to hear that one at a live concert someday.

Finally, the album has some fine B-side tracks as well. But nothing comes close to the (apparently impromptu made) "Free". 6 1/2 minutes of classic blues rock - something we haven't really heard since the days of Led Zeppelin.

The song Try Too Hard reminds me a lot of one of the girls in my class. Especially the part where she sings "Its people like u that make me sick/im surrounded by u everywhere i look" she is like that all the time, and so i can relate to that song. Other songs I love are:

Même si, par la suite, P!NK a fait de meilleurs morceaux, je crois que celui-ci ne dois pas être oublié. Selon moi, cette chanson est une réussite.

this album shows p!nks rokey side n its fantastic its proper sexy.
i like the way the songs also tell a story like have a meaning to them.
my favoret song on the album iz save my life coz the tune iz cachy n the lyrics r grate man.

this album is brill she has loads of brill songs in it and she sound like she is like all herself dat she is happy with hr life n dat she is adventures and she likes to have a good time which she obviously does but she is gr8 and in this album it shows you and she is fun and if anyone thinks she is boring and she doesnt do anything then they obviously dont know her ny what she is they have just heradd fro thins peoplae have told them and this album shows almost evrything good about her.

P!NK... if you read this... i tell you... that this is the best album i ever heard... as i said before.. your music inspires me!!! and this album is amazing... as U of course!!!
One of the songs that i love in this album is Last to Know!!! That´s a very good song!!!
And the rest: Unwind.. Humble Neighborhoods, Oh my God!!! ahhh i love all songs..!!!

this was my intro to pink's music and i fond that it spoke to a part of me that most never see.
on a side-note there was a hidden trak on the cd that i have and it is a cool song . i wonder why it is'nt listed as being there

Don't get me wrong, I really like this cd! But it's definitely not her best. It shows off her voice, I love the rock and edgy songs.

Although this album didn't get rave reviews from the critics in particular the newspapers etc etc, but isn't it the fans opinions what really matters? It did sell what 2/3 million world wide? That is a hell of a lot of albums, haha!

Anyways I like it! Not so much wear your heart on your sleeve but a very fun bite u in the ass kind of style of an album, haha, from Oh My God which features the sexed up lyrics and vocals from Peaches to Love Song which has you in tears and wanting you to listen to it over and over again!

P!nk says Embrace Your Inner Freak, she has embraced it with open arms with this album!

After watching the Live In Europe DVD I have a new appreciation for this album and it's like I am hearing it for the first time again!

My fave songs on here would definitely have to be God Is A DJ (I love this live mixed in with a bit of Pass That Dutch by Missy Elliott), Oh My God, Save My Life, Try Too Hard and Love Song, oh and who can forget Hooker......you ain't nothing but a hooker selling your f**king soul, love it =]

This album's sales, for some reason, weren't anywhere near what they shoulda been. There were some not so great fan and critical reviews. Pink herself admitted frustration in making it. Despite that, every single song is fantastic. They all have her characteristic attitude, brash sound, deeply personal lyrics, and like all her albums show both her vulnerability and volatility. Most Pink fans love this album. I love this album.

Like alot of her fans, her music is an emotional catharsis for me personally, and is probably more successful keeping people in their right minds than therapy. This disc has it all, several kiss my ass anthems, killer dance songs, punk rock, party hard let it go weekend songs, and vulnerable Im miserable songs. And my favorite, Oh My God. That song is just damned hot. It gives me all manner of evil wicked ideas, and is the sexiest damn song she did since You Make Me Sick. I don't believe there is a mood she doesn't touch on, a feeling she doesn't evoke, an emotion she doesn't expose. There isn't one lyric that I cannot relate to or swear she has lived MY life to get it.

It rocks. Period.

I like more missundaztood and ind, but every p!nk albums has a special something, and the special something of try This is that this album RRROCKSS! I like because is harder than the others. Soo good!

For me only good album, don't like it SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, but only like it. Eye-wink There R some good songs like Save my life, Walk away, and of course Trouble and God is a DJ. Like Unwind, too...

In this album I love the way that P!NK uses her vocals to demonstrate her rock attitude. If I had to choose my favorite songs, I would say: God Is A DJ, Oh My God, Save My Life, Humble Neighborhoods, and Love Song... I also agree with swnscd1:
unique lyrics + good music = amazing album

This album really is just pink recording songs she wants to record and rocking it out. There are some really great songs on here. I love Catch Me While I'm Sleeping and Love Song.
