With her recent visit to Australia to launch her 5th album and announce her 2009 Funhouse Tour, P!nk has proved once again that her Australian fans are amongst the most dedicated in the world, with Funhouse debuting at #1 on the Motorola ARIA album charts and the Funhouse Tour selling out 19 shows in just one day!
Facing off strong competition from both ACDC and Kings of Leon, P!nk outsold her way into the top spot on the album chart to secure her first ever album debut at #1 in Australia. This also places her in the top 5 selling album debuts in the last decade (#1 Guy Sebastian at Xmas 2003, #2 Shannon Noll in February 2004, #3 Damien Leith in December 2006, #4 P!nk in October 2008, and #5 ACDC also in October 2008). And if that wasn’t enough, the 2009 Funhouse tour sold out 19 shows on the first day of sale. The tour has now reached 26 shows including 23 of those sold out, with a 7th Sydney & 4th Newcastle shows on sale this Friday! Overwhelmed by the reaction to both the concerts and album sales, P!nk “can't wait to get back to Australia to perform to her favourite audiences”.
“So What,” the first single to be released from Funhouse is still proving to be a hit with listeners across the country with it sitting comfortably at number 3 on the Music Network Australian National Airplay Chart this week, whilst new single “Sober” made its debut last week at number 18. Fans can also tune in tonight to Australian Idol from 7:30pm AEDST to see an exclusive performance of “Sober” on Network Ten.
In keeping with P!nk firsts, last week Sony Music premiered its first-ever artist branded application for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch with the multi-platinum recording artist. This marks Sony Music’s entrance into the mobile application arena with a strategy based around dynamic artist applications.
Fans can now download P!nk's Funhouse from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=293680837&mt=8. The application features previews of the new album, the latest news, photos and essential information to connect fans to P!nk's world. Additionally a full discography including liner notes, a picture gallery and live news feed will be available and fans can customize the home screen inside the App as well as browse P!nk's Page and official website, without ever leaving the App.
Sean Rosenberg, VP of Mobile Marketing, Sales & Business Development, BMG Label Group comments "P!nk is breaking new ground in the mobile space by creating a platform to perpetually engage her fans and let them dig deeper into her album while on the go."

If possible could you see your way to add another conert to the adelaide section (or possibly do a private concert at our block on the river, lots of scotch supplied, I may share). Myself and numerous 30 odd and 40 odd aged friends are desperate to travel to Adeliade from Mildura to see your concert. Most of us work in Mental Health and need some sort of ESCAPE. Can you help us out by putting on another night in Adelaide?
GET BETTER P!NK!!!
