In reaction to the horrific bushfires in Victoria, Pink has sent this message of support:
I've been really affected by the media images of the tragic bush-fires in Victoria.
My heart goes out to all those who have suffered so much in these circumstances.
There's little anyone can do at such a long distance away but I wanted to make a tangible expression of support.
I will be donating $250,000 to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, and hope that this, amongst all the other outpouring of charitable support, will help the rebuilding of lives and communities in the areas affected.
I'm looking forward to returning to a country I love so much.

I am from Melbourne and i live like 10 minutes away from where the fires were and i know that you did not have to do that but you have done so much maybe more then some people who actually live here (maybe not sure what everyone's done). but what i getting to is that thank you for everything and I am sure it will help a lot. see Australia loves pink and pink loves Australia.

Just wanted to say that donating anything at all let alone $250,000 to the people who need it most right now in Australia is incredible. I haven't personally been to Australia but my grandparents relations live in Victoria. So many lives,families and homes have been destroyed so knowing that this donation is being made from such a well known artist like pink shows just how big a heart she has and how much she loves the country.

My parents lost their home, our beloved 6 family pets and then worst of all we ended up losing my dad to these bush fires.
How do you ever really express your gratitude to people that have donated. In particular someone who doesn't live in our country, yet loves our country. Thank you PINK, your donation was beyond generous.
To know that my mum will be looked after and will be able to rebuild a new home with the help of generous people like you and all Australians that have given a dollar and even spared a thought, is comforting during this very sad and hard time.

I went to high school in whittlesea and know a lot of people who have lost everything and unfortunately lost there lives. My brother lost his house and his animals in the fires he lived in kinglake. Luckily his cat saved his life by waking him up from his sleep and he got out but what he and so many people in Victoria have witnessed is to unbearable to think about. I can't thank Pink and the other millions of people who donated to the 'Bushfire Relief Fund' enough. My partner and I lost our house and almost everything we owned as a result of the bushfires in Victoria,Australia. I evacuated in time with only my wallet,my mobile phone,my car and the clothes I was wearing. I cannot begin to describe the roller coaster of emotions experienced since Saturday 7th February,a day I won't forget in a hurry. However,good music has helped ease the pain. Unfortunately,'Funhouse' was still in the cd player when the house burnt,but it was also the first album given to me a few days later from a good friend. I now love listening to it more than ever,knowing that my favourite artist from the other side of the world will be directly assisting me rebuild my life.

I think you are such an amazing role model for all women, young and old (My aunty who is in her 50's is coming to see you in August with me!) As one of the thousands of Australian's and Victorian's who put on a uniform as a volunteer to do our bit, I just want to say thank you for your thoughtfulness and your contribution.
I was actually sitting with the rest of the guys at breakfast at the staging area we had been running for almost two weeks and we were about to begin packing up when the anouncement about your contribution came across the news.
It was about 7.30am and however sleep deprived I was, I had to smile. Your contribution has showed that our efforts and even those cries of help have not fallen on deaf ears, and for that I am so grateful.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Victoria Bushfire Appeal, your contribution, however big or small, is so appreciated, it will help these familes who have lost everything rebuild their lives, homes and communities.

Thank you so much, You have the true Aussie spirt, you share your heart and soul.
My husband has been gone for almost 3 weeks now helping to get some communication back to the people, we are still not sure when he will be home, my kids and I are missing his terribly but at least we have our home and each other more than alot of people at the moment, I will never understand what he has seen I just hope he will be ok. Today he saw about 5 dead Koalas on the side of the road they had come out of the ravaged bush in search of food and water but it was to late, it is so so sad. Thank you again xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Donation - Bushfire Appeal
Hey so everyone has pretty much summed up all that can be said for your support of the bushfires currently burning in Melbourne, but as another Melbournian living close enough to know personally of the loss suffered, I cannot help but want to thank you and everybody around the world, famous or not, rich or poor, who have stood behind Victoria. No words are enough.
I have also found this gallery surmising, in pictures all that has happened so far - if anyone around the world has heard about it but maybe not seen much. Unfortunately it is not over, but the loss of further life will hopefully be avoided now with close eyes watching every movement..

Thank u for taking time out of your busy schedule to donate as u have. You truly are a special person but we all know that, I live in sydney we all feel the pain of the poor people and animals that have suffered & are still suffering in victoria and other places that are affected by such tragedys, all we can do is offer what ever help we can and pray for them. You make a difference not only financially but by writing songs and singing them with love and warmth & compassion. Music makes us stronger and gives us something to beleive in what ever our background or race or where ever we live in the world and that is the best give of all. Thank u for giving us faith.

Oh and one other thing - before you announced concerts in Oz and it was only rumoured you were coming out I vowed to my husband and all my friends that I will be going to EVERY SINGLE concert you do in Melbourne. You possibly wont even have the time to read this and for the record im not trying to piss in ya pocket but I would just like to say as everyone else has already said previously THANKYOU VERY VERY MUCH for your generosity!! I live in the fire affected area and 2 of my family members are very lucky to have survived the fires. My grandfather has lost everything and only just made it out to safety while my cousin got caught in the middle of it all and survived. This money will be a massive help to rebuilding a LOT of homes and communities. Its overwhelming the generosity from people within Australia and more so Internationally.
