So never thought to go on "Pink's" web site to express some feelings that where brought out by a song on one of pinks albums. Now after reading the some of the un-realistical post on here I doubt that "Pink" will ever read this, I am a stay at home mother returnign back to school at 23 and would not have time to short out some of the junk that is posted on some of these pages. let alone all of them. any way back to my post...
8 years ago I went throught a very rough point in life of drugs and running away and fighting with family. I loved "Pinks" music inmy "sober" moments and it most of the time help me stay sober for Longer. I more then once rewrote soem of her songs in high school for english classes to explain my mental state. but in 2004 I had a daughter(I named her Serenity, What I needed most in my life) I Kinda fell apart when GOverment services walked in and Took my daughter in 2006 Pink Released a new CD I was quick to buy it as always. and one song stood out to me.
"conversations with my 13 year old self. the first time I heard it I was driving down highway one in in Manitoba Canada. I had to pull over the car. I sat at the side of the road and cried and and cried. to this day I can't get through it with out letting a tear run down my face. I sat on the road side for two hours writing in my journal and talking on the phone with my mental health nurse. I am not saying it was the reason for my recovery. but it open doors that had been locked for years.
it is 2008 now I still listen to it and still always cry. I have my daughter at home and I am married to a great guy I no longer have drug problem. but stil deal with some inner personal issues.
I want people to know want music is about what it has always been about....the soul. and it is not about all the records you sell it is about how you do it... regardless. thought way to go on all the Sales!!! you are some one I would want my daughter to "copy" I am proud to say I a am a Fan of "Pink's" Music.
